JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is one of the longest series in the world. Hirohiko Araki’s popular manga series has continued to improve with each installment, which is one of the main reasons why JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has managed to stay relevant for so long.
Hirohiko Araki’s efforts have ensured that the series continues to attract more fans. Anime adaptations for the series are very prominent, and recent Netflix confirm that Rocky ocean an adaptation will be released in December 2021. Araki’s form of splitting the series into parts has been acclaimed by fans and has been a key element to the series’ success. But, what makes it so effective?
Most other popular manga do not follow JoJo The structure divides their story into parts, but Araki was able to create a hugely successful story by doing so. There are several reasons why Araki has difficulty with this format. One of the main reasons is each individual part focus on a particular protagonist and antagonistic.
Part 1: Ghost Blood featuring Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando in the spotlight. Both characters have had a huge impact on the series, aside from their roles in Ghost Blood. In each installment, Araki focuses on a specific set of characters with almost any of these being able to get enough screen time and grow.
Another good thing about this format is that it allows the reader to bond with a certain character. Other manga/anime series almost always have the problem that not all of the characters get enough attention, as they are gradually phased out by the long story line. However, with JoJo’s various seasons, Araki can explore all kinds of characters and it allows fans to watch their favorite characters in action.
So far there have been a total of eight JoJo parts. Each section is different from the previous one in one way or another. To be fair, with each passing session, Araki improved his skills more and more. almost every JoJo fans will agree with the sentiment that Araki’s writing and art are improved piece by piece. So it’s fair to say that with the story, Araki also grows as a writer.
When Steel Ball Run ended, it took the entire world by storm. The writing quality is so high that it has been widely accepted as one of the best manga series of all time. Currently, Steel Ball Run is 2nd place on MyAnimeList, which shows how highly rated the series is. Initial, Run steel ball classified as a separate series, but it reverts to being part of JoJo when it switches to Ultra Jump. Later, Araki revealed in an interview that he was planning to do Steel Ball Run part of the coverage JoJo series.
With each section, Araki is able to renew the interest of readers. Each section has a satisfactory conclusion, but they are also interconnected. Araki ties together the first six in different ways— bringing back older characters, creating references, flashbacks, etc. Ghost Blood come Rocky ocean, there are several instances where Araki uses older characters from previous seasons to point out a point. DIO is involved in almost every episode—the main antagonist in Seasons 1 and 3, mentioned almost every time with the Arrow Standing, and he also influences Enrico Pucci, who among the strongest characters in Pebbles Ocean.
Another Araki specialty is keeping fan favorites engaged in other installments. One of the repeated names in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by Jotaro Kujo. He made his debut in Stardust Crusaders, where he joins his grandfather, Joseph, in his quest to defeat the DIO. Despite being the main character of season 3, Jotaro is not a particularly eye-catching character and lacks the charisma of his predecessors. For much of Season 3, Jotaro acted as more of an executive alongside his Platinum Star, one of the strongest standing in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
However, he really evolved as a character over the next few seasons. In season 4, he acted as Josuke’s mentor and even helped him take down the Yoshikage Kage who terrorized Morioh City. In season 6, Jotaro is once again at the center of events along with his daughter. The dynamism this introduces and the eventual developments that come from it have really cemented his place as one of the best characters in the series. JoJo series.
NS JoJo The series also boasts some amazing supporting characters. Zeppeli’s, Speedwagon, Bucciarati, and so many others have contributed as much to the various stories as any Joestar or a descendant of Joestar. In various cases, these supporting characters have managed to capture the main character’s attention, benefiting from the anthology format the series employs.
The process of dividing a series into parts comes with its limitations. For many fans, there are a lot of parts that are confusing. While most entries can serve as a standalone story on their own, reading or viewing one before another can be detrimental to one’s experience with the series. It’s quite possible that a newbie could actually screw up the series on their own, although this could easily have been avoided if one had only approached the series before the release date.
Another problem with splits is that although a handful of characters reappear in other installments, most of them cease to exist after a particular season. This is a very common complaint from fans of the series. However, the pros far outweigh the cons, that’s why JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’s Its unique structure has allowed it to grow into one of the most popular anime and manga series in the world.
