Talon Qualifies for 2nd Place of DPC’s SEA Winter Tour 2021-22

Talon, the team of famous Dota 2 players like Tal”Flies“Aizik and Kim”Gabbi“Villafuerte, secured a spot in the 2nd Division of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Southeast Asia (SEA) Winter 2021-22. Talon secured a place as first place in the tournament’s second open qualifier, beat the Kobolds Mongols 2-0 in the final.With the exception of the first match of the final, where the Kobolds showed resistance, Talon’s performance was impeccable throughout the open qualifiers.

Despite losing in the first open qualifier, Talon, a team made up of some of the best players in Southeast Asia and a seasoned veteran in captain Fly, advanced to the second open qualifier as the favorite team.

The team faced MY, one of the stronger opponents in round 32 BO1. Carry Arc Warden helped MY prolong the match, but things didn’t look right, when they lost to Talon in the 45th minute of the match. Two more BO1s followed, with Talon safely beating KOD Vulture and TWN-Esports. Next, Fly and his teammates defeated InterActive Philippines with a score of 2-0 through two consecutive wins to enter the semi-finals.

In the final series of qualifying, the Kobolds, the runner-up of the first open qualifier, fought Talon for a place in Division 2. In the first game, the Kobolds had a slight lead for 25 or 30 minutes. first, but a great teamfight from the opponent turned the tide. Talon continued to maintain this momentum in the second game, edging past the enemy for a 2-0 win and a place in Division 2.

Midlaner Rafli Fathur”Mikoto“Rahman was Talon’s standout player throughout the entire qualifiers. Both his laning and mid-game performance were outstanding.

Division 2 of SEA DPC 2021-22 begins November 29, 2021, with eight teams competing for the largest share of the $75,000 prize pool and a chance to qualify for Division 1 in the event of two teams top. So far, seven of the eight Division 2 teams have been identified:
