Most Americans say Biden is negatively affecting their lives as the holiday season approaches

A new poll shows most Americans are feeling the effects of inflation as the holiday season kicks in, and a majority of them blame President Joe Biden personally for the price hikes.

Poll from Yahoo News / YouGov evaluate people’s opinions on how much price increases affected their lives right before Thanksgiving.

Seventy-seven percent of respondents said they were feeling a crisis. According to the poll, 57% of them hold Biden personally accountable.

When asked if Biden doing enough to fix the problems affecting them, only 18% of respondents said so.

Yahoo’s Andrew Romano noted, “These results partly explain why the president’s overall approval rating has steadily dropped to 43% in recent months while his disapproval rating That’s up to 52% – and why, in economic terms, Biden’s approval rating is even lower (40 percent).”

One key takeaway: Biden is in trouble with independent voters.

Yahoo/YouGov found that 65% of respondents with no party affiliation attributed to Biden at least some reason to pay a higher price. Ninety percent of Republicans say Biden is at least partially responsible, compared with 28 percent of Democrats.
