Dollar Tree said on Tuesday that sales jumped nearly 4% in the most recent quarter, to $6.42 billion. Meanwhile, profits fell 34%, to $216.8 million, a drop that executives attributed mainly to higher freight costs. Other costs, such as wholesale prices and employee wages, have also increased.
