At Met premiere, ‘Eurydice’ offers a fascinating visit to the underworld

Ruhl’s 2003 play puts the dead heroine of Orpheus mythology at its center, unalterably pulled between two worlds: One above, living with her new love, where the future is Theirs awaits, and one below, in the underworld with her deceased father, where her entire past is washed away by oblivion.
